(continuing) ~ ALL ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS, ALL ABOUT FRIENDSHIPS ~
Dear Parents
In this final week leading to our October Break, the class focused on adding more data to our ‘Pictograph/Mind Map’. We included families and friends, and on our return right after the Oct holidays, children shall work in designated groups to discuss differences and similarities between ourselves, family members, and friends.
Dear Parents
In this final week leading to our October Break, the class focused on adding more data to our ‘Pictograph/Mind Map’. We included families and friends, and on our return right after the Oct holidays, children shall work in designated groups to discuss differences and similarities between ourselves, family members, and friends.
This week, Mr Prewitt read a story ‘After You’ to the class. We learned to use appropriate words in situations that we often would find ourselves in, out in the playground, having to share toys and class materials, taking turns, and so forth. When we say, ‘after you’ how does that make the other person feel? We are using positive words in being caring and considerate and communicating appropriately to friends.
Whilst out there enjoying your break, please remind your child about the numbers we’ve learned and ask them to recite the rhymes that go with each specific number (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5). Point our letters that they would be familiar with and ask them to trace it with their magic finger in the air (i.e. A, E, F, H, I, L).
We spend our last day of school this week baking pumpkin-shaped chocolate chip cookies. The remainder kids in class had a blast icing the initials of their name on their cookie! What a yummy way to start the holidays! Since we had only nine children at school, we could each take two cookies home and they had a choice of decorating the 2nd cookie with smileys. Ms Rumana taught them how to control pressure from their fingers when squeezing icing out of the tube.

Todate, we have had conferences with 7 sets of parents. On Thurs, Oct 25 we shall complete the remainder 6 sets of parents. It has been very rewarding for me to share with parents on the progress their child has made thus far. I continue to seek your feedback for any moments or situations where your child may express/repeat/internalize all that he/she has learned at school through his/her action and/or speech.
Do send me an email as soon as possible about it while it remains fresh in your mind. This shall be documented for your child’s progress.

Finally, below is a slideshow of the costumes some of our kids were wearing in AISD’s Halloween Carnival last week. They all looked so cute and adorable; I just want to hug them all over again!
To all who are celebrating this weekend, I wish you
EID MUBARAK!
To all who are not, I wish you
HAPPY HOLIDAYS, and SAFE TRAVELS!!
